In the background is a view of the mountainous Ojota dumpsite. This dumpsite is situated right in the middle of human activities and residence!
Waste generated in several parts of Lagos and collected by the Lagos state Waste Management Authority (LAWMA) and their partner institutions find their ways to this location.
This dumpsite is the chief cause of the heavy stench around the Ojota/Ogudu/Ikosi/Oregun axis. It has also been a cause for health concern to residents and business operators within that part of the state.
So, considering the ominous health implications to citizens that populate that part of Lagos state, at what point would it dawn on the authorities that there is an urgent need to relocate this dumpsite?
